Jose Rizal: The Mind and Heart of the Filipino Nation

 Jose Rizal is widely recognized as the true face of the Philippines because he shaped how Filipinos came to understand themselves as one people. More than being a physician, writer, or linguist, Rizal was a thinker who awakened national consciousness.
