Inspired to Inspire Others

 

 I am Matthew Lauren Lopez, and I am a young student from Cabusligan, Bantay, Ilocos Sur. As a 14 year old student, I strive to become the best version of myself everyday, balancing my academics and personal growth. I am known by most as someone who ignores them a lot but little do they know, there is a kind and friendly side of me that loves and doesn't avoid socializing. My involvement in school and church activities reflects my commitment on being a well-rounded individual. With an open mind and a heart ready to learn and grow from my past experiences, and I take each day as an opportunity to inspire and encourage people around me, especially those who need it the most because I know how it feels to feel like you're nothing.

One of my greatest joys is watching outdoor camping during weekends, which sparkled my love for camping. This hobby led me to appreciate the simple beauty of the outdoors, and the wonder of nature. From setting up tents, cooking over a campfire, and laying down in your tents, admiring the stars as you go to sleep. Aside from that, I am a part of the Ministry of Altar Servers at our parish and I spend most of my time at the church because it is where I find peace with God. I also have a loving Girlfriend for a year and four months, with whom I share many memorable moments like going to church every sunday.

In everything I do, whether it is leading as a representative of the SSLG, leading as a Secretary of the BSP of our institution, or serving as a Devotee of Mama Mary in the Ministry of Altar Servers - i always try to give my best. My hobbies, relationships, and responsibilities have led me and shaped me into a hardworking and motivated individual with a clean sense of purpose. I believe that learning not only happens in the classroom but also through real-life experiences, friendships, and service to the community. And through this, I continue to discover more about myself and the future.
