Q2 Reflection

As the second quarter of our ICT (Information and Communications Technology) class comes to a close, I can truly see how much I’ve grown in both knowledge and skills. This quarter was filled with new lessons, challenges, and discoveries that deepened my appreciation for the role of technology in our daily lives. One of the most meaningful things I learned was how to apply ICT concepts more effectively. From creating documents and designing simple websites to exploring different digital tools, I became more confident in using technology responsibly and creatively. I also realized the importance of accuracy, patience, and attention to detail—qualities that are essential when completing ICT tasks and projects. This quarter also helped me understand the importance of collaboration. Many of our activities required teamwork, and through these, I learned how to communicate better, share ideas, and work together toward common goals. Group projects and discussions made learning more enjoyab...

Travel Blog

Bantay is a small town that instantly wraps you in its gentle charm the moment you arrive. The quiet roads, the breeze from the nearby fields, and the friendly faces all create an atmosphere that feels like coming home. I visited Bantay with the simple intention of slowing down and appreciating a place that has always been close to my heart. As I walked through the town, I realized that its beauty lies not only in its sights but also in its serenity. Every corner seemed to whisper stories, inviting me to look closer. My main destination was the Bantay Church, the Archdiocesan Shrine of Nuestra Señora de la Caridad. Its red-brick façade stood proudly under the sky, looking both ancient and timeless. Walking inside, I was greeted by the familiar scent of candles and the soft glow of devotion. Even though I have served here many times as an altar server, seeing it again as a visitor brought a different kind of appreciation. The church felt like a place where faith, history, and pers...

Heroes without a cape

Teachers are heroes who help us become better people. They teach us right from wrong and provide us with constant guidance. They are tolerant and kind, even when we make mistakes. They inspire us to follow our dreams by giving us bravery, hope, and support. For this reason, in my opinion, educators are really heroes. For everything they do, my teachers have my sincere gratitude. Just to teach us, they arrive early in the morning and remain late into the evening. I try to behave nicely in class and do well in school as a sign of respect. Sometimes, to make people happy, I write thank-you notes or say kind things. To make them happy, a simple "thank you" will do.

Intramurals

Students that participate in intramural sports improve their physical literacy, cooperation, teamwork, social skills, and general health. Being involved in intramural sports has several benefits, including teaching us discipline and sportsmanship, humility, and respect for opponents, organizers, and the rules. Second, you can develop your social skills and make lots of friends. Finally, there is increased school spirit. By giving kids a stronger sense of connection and belonging, intramural sports help to foster a positive school culture.

Climate Change that helped Filipinos to Adapt

Filipino are one of the resiliency country, but the nation remains highly vulnerable due to its archipelagic geography and susceptibility to natural disasters like typhoons and rising sea levels. While awareness is high, effective national-level adaptation and mitigation efforts, including sustainable practices and infrastructure improvements, especially for vulnerable populations like children and marginalized communities.  Filipinos adapt to climate change by engaging in practices like environmental conservation (e.g., tree planting, waste reduction), improving agricultural practices (water conservation, climate-resilient crops), and community-level efforts such as infrastructure development for flood control and planning for migration.

Small Acts, Big Impact

Image
We joined a clean-up drive in our barangay where we swept the surroundings and removed scattered trash, dried leaves, and dirt from the area. This simple act made a big difference in keeping our environment clean and organized. A cleaner community not only looks more pleasant but also promotes better health and safety for everyone. As we worked together, we realized that even small contributions can create a big impact. The activity also gave us the chance to bond with one another while sharing the same goal of caring for our surroundings. It reminded us that cleanliness is a shared responsibility that requires effort from all. Truly, participating in such activities helps build discipline and awareness in every member of the community. Aside from sweeping, we also collected plastic bottles, egg trays, and other reusable materials for recycling. Recycling plays a big role in reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Instead of letting these materials go to waste, th...
