Small Acts, Big Impact

Image
We joined a clean-up drive in our barangay where we swept the surroundings and removed scattered trash, dried leaves, and dirt from the area. This simple act made a big difference in keeping our environment clean and organized. A cleaner community not only looks more pleasant but also promotes better health and safety for everyone. As we worked together, we realized that even small contributions can create a big impact. The activity also gave us the chance to bond with one another while sharing the same goal of caring for our surroundings. It reminded us that cleanliness is a shared responsibility that requires effort from all. Truly, participating in such activities helps build discipline and awareness in every member of the community. Aside from sweeping, we also collected plastic bottles, egg trays, and other reusable materials for recycling. Recycling plays a big role in reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills. Instead of letting these materials go to waste, th...

Exhausted yet Enduring

During the first quarter, I encountered many lessons that helped me grow in academics and in character. I realized that discipline is essential if I want to finish my work with quality and on time. Even the smallest activity requires effort, and if I take things for granted, the results will reflect my lack of dedication. This quarter also showed me the importance of consistency because doing little by little every day leads to bigger achievements. There were times when I felt tired, but completing my tasks gave me a sense of accomplishment. I also learned that patience is needed because not everything will go my way, and challenges are always part of learning. Through this, I understood that growth happens not only in the classroom but also in my personal habits. Every assignment, project, and responsibility contributed to my improvement as a student. The experiences may not always be easy, but they shaped me into a more responsible learner. Truly, this quarter became a period o...

I am Matthew Lauren Lopez, and I am a young student from Cabusligan, Bantay, Ilocos Sur. As a 14 year old student, I strive to become the best version of myself everyday, balancing my academics and personal growth. I am known by most as someone who ignores them a lot but little do they know, there is a kind and friendly side of me that loves and doesn't avoid socializing. My involvement in school and church activities reflects my commitment on being a well-rounded individual. With an open mind and a heart ready to learn and grow from my past experiences, and I take each day as an opportunity to inspire and encourage people around me, especially those who need it the most because I know how it feels to feel like you're nothing. One of my greatest joys is watching outdoor camping during weekends, which sparkled my love for camping. This hobby led me to appreciate the simple beauty of the outdoors, and the wonder of nature. From setting up tents, cooking over a campfire, and ...

Voices of the Future, Hopes for the Nation

Image
As a student, I have been taught to love and give respect for our country, and it is in spirit that I send a message to you. I see how our nation continues to face challenges, such as poverty, lack of job opportunities, lackings, and issues in education. Most young people dreams of a better and brighter future , but some feel unsure about the challenges ahead. I believe this generation has the potential to contribute greatly, but we still need a stronger and better guidance and the assistance from our leaders. And I hope, along with many students that are a believer that we still have a brighter future, that you, as our president, can inspire us, and not only through words, but also through concrete actions that uplift the lives of ordinary Filipinos.     With high hopes, i believe that our generation has the capabilities to contribute greatly to the progress of our nation. However, we still need a more resilient, and dedicated leaders to guide us. With the right to s...

ISNHS celebrated Nutrition Month this July by organizing exciting contests that brought out the skills and talents of students. It was a time when creativity was unleashed and teamwork became evident as learners participated with great enthusiasm. Guided by the theme “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority, Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin” , the celebration emphasized the importance of access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food for all. Nutrition Month served as a reminder that health should always be valued and that wise choices about what we eat can greatly affect our well-being. This event was not only about competition but also about building awareness on proper nutrition.   Our section, Markov, proudly joined the festivities by taking part in the Food Fest and NutriJingle Competition. In the NutriJingle, we collaborated with our fellow SMC section, Martinelli, forming a strong team of musically talented students. Together, we prepared a performance that carried a m...
